Iran, Oman to establish joint bank

MUSCAT – The Iranian ambassador to Oman stated that Iran and Oman will establish a joint bank meant to increase financial transactions.

The Mehr News Agency quoted Hossein Noushabadi as saying that opening a joint bank between Iran and Oman is necessary to strengthen financial activities and is a kind of guarantee for joint ventures.
He added that currently Melli and Saderat banks have branches in Oman and not only is it essential for these banks to be enhanced, but also a new bank must be founded.
Noushabadi pointed out that the two countries’ joint commission is working out ways to pave the way for establishing the new bank
